So, this weekend, my lovely friend Jennifer lent me the book “He’s Just Not That Into You”. Since the movie comes out this weekend (Frid6a00d4142ea6fa3c7f00e398f30c660005-500pi2ay to be exact!), I decided I should read the book and maybe get some insight as to what the book is about and how I feel about it. Well my dear blog readers, I LOVED IT. It’s such a  simple concept that so many women forget! I mean, there are a few things that I disagree about such as a man not being able to “man up” and just say what he means and women just having to read between the lines constantly. But as far as the mixed messages and excuses, it is DEAD ON. It really gave me a new perspective on things. It is also quite funny. A few of my  favorite quotes:

Calling when you say you’re going to call is the very first brick in the house you are building of love and trust.  If he can’t lay this one stupid brick down, you ain’t never gonna have a house, baby.  And it’s cold outside.”

“It’s very tempting when you really want to be with someone to settle for much, much less — even a vague pathetic facsimile of less — than you would have ever imagined.  Remember always what you set out to get and please don’t settle for less.  These guys exist because there are a lot of women out there who allow them to.”

“You already have one butthole. You don’t need another.” (word subsistituted ,of course.)

It was just very insightful and eye opening to how black and white things can be if you just look for signs. I was very intrigued by it. There were a few chapters I couldn’t relate to and there were some interesting scenarios in there but overall, I really enjoyed it. It was a quick read (read the whole thing in about 4 hours) and I am totally stoked about seeing the movie now! I give it 4 out of 5 stars!
