So, since it is currently 34 degrees outside and a chance of snow tonight, I thought I would post a few pictures of my trip to St. Lucia with my Bombay girls. We went on this trip back in June of last year and since I didn’t start my blog till November, I haven’t really mentioned it much. But it was by far one of the most amazing trips I have ever been on. For one, I have never been on a trip with these girls that didn’t involve any type of mission work or riding a bus with 50 other youth. We have all grown up together in church and have gone on plenty of mission trips and youth events together but never a vacation just for us to relax and have good time. Since our friend Kara graduated last May, we decided it was the perfect excuse to indulge in a real vacation for us. So, we decided on the island of St. Lucia. Why you ask? Well, it looked beautiful online, we wanted to stay at a nice hotel where we would feel safe and pampered, and it just seemed like IT picked us. So we went.

Since all 5 of us are use to flying long distances together, we didn’t even hesitate when it came to flying. We departed early in the morning n36609870_34447328_12811and arrived in St. Lucia by early afternoon. Unfortunately, our bags didn’t arrive with us at first. Our quick layovers caused them to be a bit delayed. But they arrived the next morning so we were very anxious to begin our exciting vacation! We did a lot of sunbathing, swimming, and lounging around. We did indulge in some pedicures, a few water sports activities (snorkeling, banana boats…), and some fine dining. We got to enjoy beautiful sunsets from our balcony. We also got to go on a pirate ship sunset cruise which was so much fun! It was an actual pirate ship that was used in some of the Pirates of the Carribean movies. We had such a great time. Above everything else, it made us closer. And we decided to take an annual trip every year. Maybe not quite as nice as St. Lucia but deffinatly somewhere together. This summer, we are attempting a train trip up to Boston to see a few baseball games and also spend some time in DC! Should be an adventure! 🙂
